Celebrate: Mackenzie & Feliks

My sweet Mackenzie and Feliks, they are my true Hallmark movie plot line come to life!  They met while studying abroad in Italy (yes, seriously), and both pulled some strings to find themselves in the same city for work so they could live their happily ever after!  We had such a blast putting this amazing day together. From overanalyzing bridesmaid dress colors to lots of floral discussions, we think it came out pretty spectacular!  Wishing them the Hallmark kind of love for their future!

Happy New Year Everyone!

While holiday gifting may be done, it seems like there is an endless need for gifts when planning a wedding!

If you’ve ever been in a wedding party, you know just how much effort goes into getting ready for the big day. And yes, even the men have a lot on their plates when it comes to getting their guy (or gal) down the aisle. A unique and personal gift is one of the best ways to say thank you for all their support, but let’s face it, men can be really hard to shop for.

A gift made of beautiful wood is both masculine and versatile for any groomsman, and as a traditional anniversary gift, wood holds a special meaning in a marriage. It symbolizes growth and strength, things you certainly get from the loved ones in your bridal party!

Celebrate: Jennifer & Chris

Jennifer is like a bottle of champagne always ready to be popped open! This bride has so much energy and enthusiasm and personality, she would literally make me laugh out loud for a good 90% of the emails she sent me.  It is no wonder that her groom is so kind and her family just the same, she just is a magnet that draws in really good people.  It was a blast working with her and helping make her day complete, such a great day! Thank you Jennifer, keep shining bright because you bring joy to those around you 🙂

Celebrate: Morgan & Caleb

Sweet Morgan!  Oh my goodness, the kindness and consideration that came out of this darling bride and her mother was beyond comprehension – I swear I think they sometimes were more concerned with how I was doing than how the wedding was coming along!  They are such thoughtful and enjoyable people, there was no doubt in my mind that this day was going to be fully loved by everyone who was there.  One of our favorite venues to work at, Belle Meade Plantation was a hot beauty on this July day, and we loved every minute of it!

Celebrate: Jenny & Chuck

Jenny and Chuck are the quiet but thoughtful sort of couple that are just perfect for each other.  They’re both very simple, but intentional in all their choices and I loved that about them.

The morning of their wedding, we all woke up and saw that the ground was covered in snow.  It didn’t matter that one week prior it was 70+ degrees out, in Nashville, you never know what is coming!  But that didn’t even phase these two.  While the snow melted just in time to take a few pictures outdoors, their wedding was a perfect and flawless affair with close family in friends. Congrats!

Oh What a Wonderful Year – 2016!

2016 was such a whirlwind of a year, I’m finding it hard to believe I’m writing this blog post and that it is already the end of December!

Every year I get a little nervous as January rolls in because it really feels like a crazy opportunity for my little business to grow.  I officially started this company exactly 6 years ago as 2011 came to a close, when I decided to put all my eggs in one basket and give Christina Logan Design a real shot.  Turns out it was a shot worth taking and each year at this time as I reflect on that decision, I feel extreme gratitude to the amazing clients that let me be a part of their life and trust me with handling decisions on such a personal moment in time.

Even though we haven’t gotten to blog all of these yet, here is a recap of some of our amazing weddings this year, with our last one to ring in the New Year tomorrow night!  Happy Holidays and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for 2017!

Celebrate: Lexie and Kieran

This family is so special to me because they come as relatives of another one of my beautiful brides from 2014.  It is so special to work with multiple members in a family, as I feel like I get a true understanding of who these amazing people are and what values they hold.  Not only did we get to work with the stunning bride, Lexie, but her mother was a great part of making this day so special for these young lovebirds; even the rain couldn’t take the sunshine away!  Thank you for letting us be a part of your beautiful day!

Celebrate: Mansa + Fred

From the moment I got the phone call, I knew Mansa’s wedding was going to be so much fun!  She is one of those people with an infectious laugh; no matter the scenario, she is going to take things in stride, laugh about it, think about it … think about it some more … and then stick right by her decision and not look back!  This was one great party, and I was so thrilled to work with Mansa over the past year to see this day come to a beautiful fruition!  Congrats Mansa & Fred – you make a perfect couple!

Celebrate: Ladies in Love

This post is long overdue, back from March when we had the joy of watching Alyssa and Kristin get married.  Alyssa and Kristen put a lot of faith into us.  They were willing to work with us right after Christina made her move to Nashville, and boy are we lucky they did!  Because this wedding had an all-star team of vendors that we are lucky to have worked with!

Although this post is delayed, we can’t think of a better time to share these photos than now, when our nation has made strides in allowing marriage be open for everyone, including our amazing friends in the LGBT community.  Of course we have had the honor of celebrating with our Californian clients, and we look forward to working with many Tennesseans as well!

It was a year and a half in the making for this special day, and even more powerful because these ladies are another example of why we love and support gay marriage!
