These two amazing people, are both the youngest of 4, and have 3 older sisters each. So when I said “have immediate family show up at 4pm for pictures”, I forgot that that meant like 30 people. I came downstairs and a reminder light went off in my brain, because at first I was thinking “who are all these guests here so early!!”. It was so sweet to see how their family cared so much about these two and all the littles were playing some sort of roll in it all.
And it’s no wonder that they are accustomed to a chaotic group gathering or little kids running around – it didn’t even phase Erin when I (last minute) had to bring my 5 week old baby to a meeting and walk around bouncing him in my carrier while we selected linen colors! That is why they wanted this awesome cocktail style, lounge-y gathering where everyone is just together; talking, dancing, laughing, not ever sitting for too long, because that is their comfort zone and what makes them happiest. Just a good, familial group of people celebrating their love. Congrats!
The moment you meet Kate and Wade, you just know that they’re perfect for one another. They’re both soft spoken and have the same down-to-earth vibe; they even look perfect for one another. I think you could categorize Kate’s voice as the sweetest voice you’ve ever heard, it just makes you want to be her friend. Needless to say, planning their wedding with them was an absolute delight! I adore them both equally (I think in part because Wade said he has worked on building some Tiny Homes for HGTV and I’m OBSESSED with HGTV), and I couldn’t be happier that they have just begun their beautiful life together after this gorgeous wedding. Exactly what you’d expect from her: classic, simple, natural and beautiful. Such a perfect day!
I’m sitting here writing a collection of blog posts from my past 5 or so weddings, and I could not be more lucky with the group of people that I get to work with. While all my couples could not be more different from one another, they each have these amazing qualities to them that make me so fortunate to get to know them.
Erica and Charles have the most amazing, quirky, fun-loving personalities. With a little bit of sarcasm from Charles and type-A detailing from Erica, these two hit home for me and I felt right at ease from the start! And when you listen to their talk and banter, it’s obvious they’ve been together for quite a few years (the cake topper actually said “finally” on it!) and are going to last a lifetime ahead. Such love for these two, so grateful to have gotten to know them!
It isn’t uncommon that I only get to meet the groom at the rehearsal, and this was no exception. So when I met Corey and his fun-loving personality, and I could just see how it was so perfect for Leslie, I knew this was going to be a beautiful marriage. In fact, watching them take photos, I could quite literally see Leslie glowing in the sunlight, as the sky came perfectly through the trees and lit her beautiful (and annoyingly perfect at all times) hair like a halo. The details that she chose were just lovely, and it was clear her taste was top notch all around! Such a beautiful wedding that we were happy to be a part of!
Right from the first phone call I knew these two were going to be an amazing time, and I was right, all the way down to the cocktails! Working in the liquor industry has some perks, and this crowd knew how to party!
But it is the internal spirit of these two that was totally beautiful. In Nashville, there are pretty high odds of rain at any given time of year. So when the forecast was showing 50% chance all wedding week, the two decided to take their chances and go ahead with Plan A all the way. For them, there was no Plan B (ahem, we still had one up our sleeves), and that is the way they will continue to live their lives. Walking right into the moment, smiles on their faces, rain or shine.
PS. It was a perfectly gorgeous day without even a rain drop! Enjoy these sweet pics by Abigail Bobo Photography!
Cordelle, a commune in the Loire Valley of France, is also a new commune of social gatherings now located in downtown Nashville. The historic Rutledge Hill area of Nashville abodes this renovated home turned grand event space, named The Cordelle. With an understated vibe yet upholding high end finishes, the space is perfectly malleable to all different clientele.
Why do we love The Cordelle? Other than the fact that the owners, three sisters, did a stint of time in our beloved California, it is the warm, refinished wood flooring, the lush grass yard and the perfect balcony to host a cocktail hour that charmed us. It is the intimate yet spacious bridal suite upstairs that can double as a VIP room for Nashville’s elite. It is the perfect location of being downtown but not feeling downtown, that has us wanting to host our own soiree here.
We invite you to take a tour of their website and schedule a time to see it in person, as their launch party just happened last week and the place is already booking up quickly!
