Can I please just say how GOOD it felt to be at this wedding?! It’s like life was finally back to “normal” and this couple couldn’t have been any luckier … the gates of events finally opened up in Nashville and we had a party to remember! Over a year of planning and lots of questioning if we were making the right decisions and what would the social gathering climate actually look like … and we made it. And it was gorgeous and a glorious weekend and the most amazing weather, so thrilled we made the right call and got to fully celebrate these two! Grateful to have been a part of their journey and sad to not get to see them as their life together begins back on my beloved west coast. Best of luck to the Scotts!!
Elizabeth and Ross worked so hard to see their vision come to life! We decided on a floral chandelier to set the tone at Ruby. Elizabeth kept mentioning she was excited about having it but was having a hard time visualizing the final product. On wedding day, she looked up at it with tears in her eyes and said, “It’s more than I could have imagined!”. It’s so fun to work together with people like Lindsey Stickline at Gradient and Hue to make the ideas in someone’s head come true. We wish the best to Elizabeth and Ross and to their new adventure in South Dakota.
Can anyone else see the way that this man looks at his bride? Because it was so obvious to us from the moment we met them, and he did not disappoint on the wedding day! We took our time planning this one to find the best time of year where things would fall into place, and that it did. Haley and Daniel’s wedding was so stunning, and their hearts glowing all day long matched the occasion.
I’m not sure if there is much of a classier venue than The Hermitage Hotel. And for someone who likes all class, this was the perfect venue for Blair to get married. We had such a wild ride planning this wedding with Blair and her mom, from changing from a quick 4 month engagement to 9 months, it felt like we had all the time in the world to get things done! And that is why the day felt smooth and like a breeze! I mean, look at these pictures as proof!
You know those days in Nashville where weeks out it’s saying it’s 100% chance of rain on a date, and it says it every day that you look for those two dates? And the date approaches and that morning it say 90% chance of rain all day. And you get a little drizzle. But you move your entire ceremony inside because the day still says 90% every hour. And you take pics outside but still plan for that rain … And then finally, when the wedding party starts down the aisle, the rain starts, and you thank God that you moved the ceremony inside, even though you’ve doubted yourself for the past 8 hours. Yep, that was this day.
So even though we had the whole day inside, it was absolutely gorgeous and high spirits and the most flawless day we could ever ask for! And for two amazing spirits like Susan and Coyn, and their sweet, supportive families, it could not have been a better day!
We had all been waiting for this day for quite a while, as Alexis and Kyle hired me two years before their big day! Sounds a little crazy, but she was finishing up med school and they were living in different states at the time. It just made sense for them to schedule their wedding for when she was done with school and off to residency, so they could go off happily married and finally live in the same place! Alexis is ever the planner, and thus began the beautiful process of these two. Kyle who truly cared so much about Alexis’s happiness, and Alexis who had an eye for details and wanting this day to be delightful for each an every person in attendance.
Even though it rained – I mean who can predict that two years out, the mood was a joyful one and all the pictures were even more stunning … and those shoes … she even had Kate Spade sneakers for the reception! Gotta love a girl who loves the details!!
I remember the first time I saw Cassie and Jon as I ran into a coffee shop, ducking from the rain, and saw them sitting together. They were both working and waiting for me and were so cute in their matching glasses (okay, they weren’t really matching, but go with me). They were just so excited and reserved at the same time, and they continued that beautiful, calm yet joyful energy throughout the planning process. I think that just about every vendor that worked with them said “I love them!” at some point, because they were a dream to work with.
I consider myself lucky to have met these two in their journey in life. As they’ve worked their way from the east coast, to the south, and now finding themselves on the west coast, it has been such a joy to be a stepping stone on their way to happiness! Enjoy these tiny glimpse at their day!
