Happy New Year everyone! No better way to start of 2020 than with a fairytale day ❤ Every little girl dreams of having their prince come and sweep them off their feet one day! Well this couple is proof that dreams due come true, and we don’t have to go to Disney for that, it can happen here in good old Nashville! It was hard to not see that Leslie and Mike were made for each other, having their wedding in a beautiful mansion with the perfect combination of elegancy and southern touch ..and this day could not have been more magical!
Elizabeth and Ross worked so hard to see their vision come to life! We decided on a floral chandelier to set the tone at Ruby. Elizabeth kept mentioning she was excited about having it but was having a hard time visualizing the final product. On wedding day, she looked up at it with tears in her eyes and said, “It’s more than I could have imagined!”. It’s so fun to work together with people like Lindsey Stickline at Gradient and Hue to make the ideas in someone’s head come true. We wish the best to Elizabeth and Ross and to their new adventure in South Dakota.
Christine and Jansen are both local to Nashville and their families are both here, and that is so rare these days! Because of this, I got to spend a lot of time with the parents of the bride, and it was such a delight to join them on this adventure. We had the best time making this event absolutely gorgeous and seriously could not have asked for better weather. It was a perfect day for these two newlyweds and we were so honored to have been a part of their day!
Sweet Emma and Garrett met while camp counselors, and they were performing for the kids in a rendition of High School Musical as Troy and Gabriella – and their fate was sealed! Here they are, years later, dancing their first dance and madly in love! These two are truly meant to be, and you can see it in their eyes. They are so young (Emma graduated the same week as the wedding!) and have a long journey ahead of them, but they are totally blessed with God’s grace and will have a beautiful life ahead of them.
Can anyone else see the way that this man looks at his bride? Because it was so obvious to us from the moment we met them, and he did not disappoint on the wedding day! We took our time planning this one to find the best time of year where things would fall into place, and that it did. Haley and Daniel’s wedding was so stunning, and their hearts glowing all day long matched the occasion.
I remember meeting Hillary a year before her wedding date and thinking, “that girl is STRONG”. Hillary and Sebastian are triathletes and competed in a full Ironman the fall before their wedding. Right before she was about to go down the aisle with her dad, she looked at me and said, “My legs are shaking so badly from nerves, I don’t think I can walk”. Even Ironwomen get nervous apparently! She made it down the aisle, right into Sebastian’s arms. I am so happy Hillary and Sebastian have found each other, I hope to see more Ironmans in their future!
When you look at these two you know they appear to be perfect together. But when you talk to them and get to know them, you know they actually are perfect together. They are the perfect yin and yang, they balance one another out and still have the most fun from across the states. Now, they are officially united and living in the same place. At last, I feel so fortunate to have helped send them off into their future as newlyweds across the country!
I’m not sure if there is much of a classier venue than The Hermitage Hotel. And for someone who likes all class, this was the perfect venue for Blair to get married. We had such a wild ride planning this wedding with Blair and her mom, from changing from a quick 4 month engagement to 9 months, it felt like we had all the time in the world to get things done! And that is why the day felt smooth and like a breeze! I mean, look at these pictures as proof!
You know those days in Nashville where weeks out it’s saying it’s 100% chance of rain on a date, and it says it every day that you look for those two dates? And the date approaches and that morning it say 90% chance of rain all day. And you get a little drizzle. But you move your entire ceremony inside because the day still says 90% every hour. And you take pics outside but still plan for that rain … And then finally, when the wedding party starts down the aisle, the rain starts, and you thank God that you moved the ceremony inside, even though you’ve doubted yourself for the past 8 hours. Yep, that was this day.
So even though we had the whole day inside, it was absolutely gorgeous and high spirits and the most flawless day we could ever ask for! And for two amazing spirits like Susan and Coyn, and their sweet, supportive families, it could not have been a better day!
Things have been so busy these days, that it’s rare that we get the chance to create anything of our own. So it was really a fun opportunity to collaborate with a few amazing vendors to create this amazing celestial shoot. We do so much of the same thing when trends run long, to break the mold and do something darker and moodier was just what we needed!
