Hayley and her mother, Lisa, were so much fun from the moment we met, we all knew we were going to have a blast planning and partying on this wedding day! Hayley is one of those people who’s energy is contagious, and it’s no wonder why Richard fell for her before he even really knew her. The high level of spirit and easy-going nature she exudes let’s you know that no matter what, even if the wedding was in the rain or in a box or in a shed, she would have a great time and so would everyone around her. Fortunately, we had some pretty amazing vendors and the rain-filled clouds even parted on this day – so despite having lost her voice, she shook her tambourine and danced the night away! Such a memorable night, loved getting to be a part of this vision!
Meeting these two was just meant to be! Our team was already at Belle Meade Plantation setting up for a wedding, when a lovely bride walked into the venue with her parents in tow. I believe it may have been the father of the bride who asked me for my information first, since he saw me running around and likely figured he didn’t want that to be him a year from that month! From there it was such a great time getting to know and love the energy of this entire family. They were such a joy to be around and had such enthusiasm over everything, there was just no way this day could have gone anything but perfectly – even when a downpour started and we moved to Plan B at the last minute!
I could tell from our first phone call that Sam had a free spirit and that she couldn’t wait to walk down the aisle to meet Joey. These two really have beautiful, creative souls that are warm and welcoming, and you could see that throughout each of their family members that helped put together this beautiful soiree! I truly love how their personal style showed through – I mean, the dress still kills me it’s so amazing, we felt so honored to be a part of this beautiful day!
Jenny and Chuck are the quiet but thoughtful sort of couple that are just perfect for each other. They’re both very simple, but intentional in all their choices and I loved that about them.
The morning of their wedding, we all woke up and saw that the ground was covered in snow. It didn’t matter that one week prior it was 70+ degrees out, in Nashville, you never know what is coming! But that didn’t even phase these two. While the snow melted just in time to take a few pictures outdoors, their wedding was a perfect and flawless affair with close family in friends. Congrats!
One of my favorite moments with these two had nothing to do with their wedding at all. In fact, I was working a different wedding, and heading into the front entrance of a large hotel downtown. Walking towards me and laughing were two people with ridiculous hats on backwards and sideways, a sun tan and a buzz from the local beer festival; it was Amber and Will, laughing and having a good time – they were just as surprised to see me! It is these organic moments of seeing my couples having fun and loving life that makes me remember why I do this. Because watching two people truly in love and having fun is what it’s all about. Needless to say, they had an awesome party with a packed dance floor!
This family is so special to me because they come as relatives of another one of my beautiful brides from 2014. It is so special to work with multiple members in a family, as I feel like I get a true understanding of who these amazing people are and what values they hold. Not only did we get to work with the stunning bride, Lexie, but her mother was a great part of making this day so special for these young lovebirds; even the rain couldn’t take the sunshine away! Thank you for letting us be a part of your beautiful day!
This post is long overdue, back from March when we had the joy of watching Alyssa and Kristin get married. Alyssa and Kristen put a lot of faith into us. They were willing to work with us right after Christina made her move to Nashville, and boy are we lucky they did! Because this wedding had an all-star team of vendors that we are lucky to have worked with!
Although this post is delayed, we can’t think of a better time to share these photos than now, when our nation has made strides in allowing marriage be open for everyone, including our amazing friends in the LGBT community. Of course we have had the honor of celebrating with our Californian clients, and we look forward to working with many Tennesseans as well!
It was a year and a half in the making for this special day, and even more powerful because these ladies are another example of why we love and support gay marriage!
The story behind this lovely couple is so inspirational. They didn’t meet in some high-end club and catch one anothers’ eye from across the room, they didn’t meet at a cocktail party, and they definitely didn’t meet using online dating… they met one another fighting for our country. That’s right, they met one another across the world serving in the United States Army. Despite the circumstances, they managed to find love amidst the battle.
I am so honored to be a part of such a beautiful marriage!
What an amazing 2014! Our first full year in Nashville and it was an amazing one! We had so many fantastic events from Cali to Tennessee, thank you to all our amazing clients, happy couples and favorite vendors! We loved working with you and look forward to the amazing things that 2015 is already bringing!

I love downtown Nashville. It has such an amazing vibe to it; it’s city, it’s country, it’s clean!!! And one of the cool spots right in the middle of it all is War Memorial. This is where Anna and Cameron had their first date, and I was so excited when Anna asked me to be her coordinator for her wedding.
From the start to the finish, I loved working on this event and had fun with everyone who was involved. Cameron is joining a truly special family because Anna’s mom and dad had the kind of warmth and energy made that made the day an absolute delight! We were so lucky to have absolutely beautiful skies out on this mid October day – it could not have been more perfect!
