My sweet Mackenzie and Feliks, they are my true Hallmark movie plot line come to life! They met while studying abroad in Italy (yes, seriously), and both pulled some strings to find themselves in the same city for work so they could live their happily ever after! We had such a blast putting this amazing day together. From overanalyzing bridesmaid dress colors to lots of floral discussions, we think it came out pretty spectacular! Wishing them the Hallmark kind of love for their future!
Elizabeth and Ross worked so hard to see their vision come to life! We decided on a floral chandelier to set the tone at Ruby. Elizabeth kept mentioning she was excited about having it but was having a hard time visualizing the final product. On wedding day, she looked up at it with tears in her eyes and said, “It’s more than I could have imagined!”. It’s so fun to work together with people like Lindsey Stickline at Gradient and Hue to make the ideas in someone’s head come true. We wish the best to Elizabeth and Ross and to their new adventure in South Dakota.
Christine and Jansen are both local to Nashville and their families are both here, and that is so rare these days! Because of this, I got to spend a lot of time with the parents of the bride, and it was such a delight to join them on this adventure. We had the best time making this event absolutely gorgeous and seriously could not have asked for better weather. It was a perfect day for these two newlyweds and we were so honored to have been a part of their day!
Can anyone else see the way that this man looks at his bride? Because it was so obvious to us from the moment we met them, and he did not disappoint on the wedding day! We took our time planning this one to find the best time of year where things would fall into place, and that it did. Haley and Daniel’s wedding was so stunning, and their hearts glowing all day long matched the occasion.
I remember meeting Hillary a year before her wedding date and thinking, “that girl is STRONG”. Hillary and Sebastian are triathletes and competed in a full Ironman the fall before their wedding. Right before she was about to go down the aisle with her dad, she looked at me and said, “My legs are shaking so badly from nerves, I don’t think I can walk”. Even Ironwomen get nervous apparently! She made it down the aisle, right into Sebastian’s arms. I am so happy Hillary and Sebastian have found each other, I hope to see more Ironmans in their future!
I’m not sure if there is much of a classier venue than The Hermitage Hotel. And for someone who likes all class, this was the perfect venue for Blair to get married. We had such a wild ride planning this wedding with Blair and her mom, from changing from a quick 4 month engagement to 9 months, it felt like we had all the time in the world to get things done! And that is why the day felt smooth and like a breeze! I mean, look at these pictures as proof!
You know those days in Nashville where weeks out it’s saying it’s 100% chance of rain on a date, and it says it every day that you look for those two dates? And the date approaches and that morning it say 90% chance of rain all day. And you get a little drizzle. But you move your entire ceremony inside because the day still says 90% every hour. And you take pics outside but still plan for that rain … And then finally, when the wedding party starts down the aisle, the rain starts, and you thank God that you moved the ceremony inside, even though you’ve doubted yourself for the past 8 hours. Yep, that was this day.
So even though we had the whole day inside, it was absolutely gorgeous and high spirits and the most flawless day we could ever ask for! And for two amazing spirits like Susan and Coyn, and their sweet, supportive families, it could not have been a better day!
When you meet some people they just have a magnetic and welcoming personality; that is Jen. She was my husband’s co-worker when we moved to Nashville, and she welcomed us (and eventually our two boys) into her big and colorful life. It is no wonder that Joe’s charismatic and crazy personality matched her easy-going vibes, and they make the life of the party wherever they go. Their love of one another and their friends is so true, and there is no mistaking that the feeling is mutual when you see the crowds of people that surround them. We’re just lucky to be a little part of that.
After looking at all feasible venues in town with these two, we had the opportunity to book a brand new venue that was at the start of major renovations. This could not have been a more perfect fit for two architects who love modern and clean design, and everything about construction. And thus, became a fun filled journey full of planning and lots of decisions and changing our minds … but most importantly, fun, laughter and hilarious jokes and sarcasm all around. The night could not have been more perfect and we were so sad to see our journey together! But now they are two best friends and co-workers, and one team as husband and wife.
Along the dance floor, vendors tend to stand to the side and people watch between working and checking on things. I believe it was a unanimous decision that this group of guests were an elite group of tall and beautiful people. Maybe that’s just because I’m 5’3″ and wear flat Vans throughout the day. But we just couldn’t believe the crowd this night; they all just ran in beautiful people circles – and they killed it on the dance floor. And that is going without saying that the bride herself, literally looked like an angel fairy of some sort, so beautiful and so incredibly full of life and ready to be married and dance. That was the most important thing, and they nailed it. So thrilled to have gotten to be at this exceptional day and epic party!
