Celebrate: The Beautiful Bu

Happy Thanksgiving week!  Even though it’s fall and freezing (well, in Nashville anyway…), we thought we’d share a wedding to warm you up from the California sun!  Have we mentioned before that we love Malibu?  Oh yeah, only five million times!  And if after looking at these pictures you don’t understand why, then you are crazy!

Aarin and Jay came to us with some awesome vision and a lot of love!  We were so excited to bring in a bunch of elements to this blank canvas venue.  From fun and funky furniture rentals to a cigar rolling station, this couple wanted to stimulate their guests’ experience.  Mission accomplished.  It turned out beautifully and the ‘I Do’s’ weren’t bad either!

Steel meets Lace

A huge shout out to Style Me Pretty for our recent feature on their blog of this GORGEOUS shoot – I have been dying to blog about it since our shoot in January!

I am just blessed with beautiful men in my life, and it sure didn’t stop when this beautiful duo showed up in sexy grey suits and grins from ear to ear. I have been obsessed this year with mixed textiles in all forms of design. Whether it be a soft white tuft couch on rustic wood floors, or a classic marble counters with flourescent accent pieces, I have been wanting to pair opposites together non-stop. So I was thrilled to have a tri-fold effect here.

What started out as Industrial Inspiration meets a Malibu Ranch, quickly became infused with lace and eggplant. I wanted to show off steel and lace and make it elegant. Same goes with eras; the modern grey suits with the bridesmaid’s fringe shift dress brings old and new together. I made her an impromptu headband from ribbon and lace to bring in an old effect mixed with the present day Malibu woman.

And of course, it was thanks to an amazing team of vendors that this was all pulled together.

A Good Year

Hi all!

Thanks so much for visiting me over here on this new site for a brand new year!  It is hard to believe that it is already 2013, but I finished my last wedding of 2012 (just before midnight, no less!) and have barely taken a moment to rest.  It is everything I could have asked for in 2012.

I can only dream of the amazing things to come in this brand new year, and I cannot wait to start my first inspirational shoot of 2013 in just one week with an amazing team of vendors!

Thank you to all the people who have supported me, the clients who have trusted me and friends and family who have believed in me.  I cannot wait to see what is ahead!  Enjoy these photos as a recap of 2012 and you’ll get my NYE wedding as soon as I get the pics back!
