Tilden Park Perfection!

The only thing better than one bride, is two!  I feel so lucky to have gotten the chance to meet and help plan Ashley and Katrina’s wedding.  The second the two landscape architects began explaining their vision to me, I knew we would be in sync throughout the process.  And the love these two radiate is infectious!  They absolutely make you want to be one of their friends and join in on the fun that they are having, and I am so lucky to have been welcomed into their gorgeous NYE wedding!

How to make an easy Boutonniere

I have definitely made a few boutonniere’s in my day (and pricked a few fingers), but it’s always good to learn some new tricks from a professional!  Thanks again to Lotus & Lily for our fab workshop.  Here is a little trick I learned that I’d never seen before.

You actually don’t put the wire into the flower!  You’re going to fold it in half and bend the edge to make a little cradle.

Then you put the flower next to it for support, and use floral tape to fasten the two together so it sort of leans on the wire.

And next you choose some other fun little flowers to spruce the main flower up.  These accents give it a real ‘pop’!  Now I may have gotten a little carried away and put a lot on there, but you can make it as big or small as you need!  This picture shows the back/side.  You will want to pin it with the little guys in the front and the long pink against his jacket.  Clip at the appropriate length and you’re all set!
