Mariel is one of those gentle souls who likes things to be absolutely perfect, but always in a calm, observant sort of way. When we had our first phone call I knew that our personalities could mesh in such a way that I would be able to bring peace to her throughout the planning process. And when she came back and said she wanted to work together, I think we both knew that it was going to be an amazing collaboration. She is careful and calculated in her decision making, and I know that is why she and Brandon are going to make it. She turned to me once with tears in her eyes and said “I just can’t wait to marry him”; it was unsolicited and just pure joy. These two are going to have a beautiful marriage!
If you’re going to celebrate NYE at a wedding, this is the way to do it! Caitlin & Elliott had small morning nuptials at their high school amongst close family and friends, and then turned the evening into a black-tie affair at the Oz Arts Center. The band was roaring, the food was delicious, and the guests were all dressed to the 10’s! It was such a fabulous evening, everyone let loose and had a good time celebrating these two, it was certainly the perfect way to ring in the new year! We are a little short on images, but hope you can see the beauty within the few we have 🙂
Sarah is a very independent, driven business woman who knows what she wants – and her wedding is no different. We met in a Women in Business networking group, hit it off, and she excitedly told me that she had an inkling she was to be engaged soon enough! As only someone like Sarah knows, within weeks she was engaged and I was on the phone setting up a time to meet with herself and her sweet fiance, Drew. Sarah had her vision right from the start – a winter wedding, and she had all the ideas in her head ready to implement. We were so happy to be at the beautiful Noah Liff Opera Center to help execute her big day, it turned out to be a gorgeous, winter wonderland that smelled like an evergreen forest! Congrats Sarah & Drew!
I love a good 6 degrees of separation game. So when this darling bride called me, she told me she know who I was because she was roommates in NY with one of my husband’s friends, in the same building – 10 years ago – then two years ago moved to Nashville, fell in love RIGHT when she got here, and was marrying the man she saw across the bar and knew she wanted to date. What?? Now I have to give her props, first of all, because I know this crazy roommate of hers, and I knew I had to love any girl who could live with someone as wild as him! And second of all, because she and her mother have extraordinary taste. I was so thrilled to be a party of this gorgeous wedding, I think we all just have to thank her groom, Dillon, for letting us go with things and make it truly exquisite. Thank you, Kristin, I loved getting to work with you!
Sweet, sweet Maria. I don’t think you’ve heard a gentler voice than this one. I absolutely adore her loving energy and how it compliments Chase’s rugged “boy”-ish personality perfectly. When Maria saw Chase for the first time, she called her mom and said she met the man she was going to marry – even though they hadn’t really even spoken! Sometimes I think that two people are just meant to be and their senses gravitate towards one another. This is that case. And we got to help make this day absolutely beautiful. Thank you for that.
These two beautiful souls were brought to me by a friend of mine. He barely even knew the couple, just that they were engaged and looking for some guidance throughout their process. I feel so lucky that he was in the right place at the right time to refer me, because the pure, youthful love and glow that these two have is truly worth admiring. Emilijah and Josh are the picture perfect heart-eyed emoji. Just the way they look at one another or talk and laugh and even contradict one another, is why they will make a beautiful marriage that lasts. You can see it captured in the images below by the talented Jordan and Alaina. If only I could show the full lot! Many thanks to the fate that brought us together. Happy to know these two.
I love when I find a connection with a couple other than just them stumbling upon my work. Nashville is such a small place; while Kathleen and Justin did find me online, it turns out Kathleen works with my neighbor whom I adore. It was so fun having this extra connection while we worked through their Vanderbilt Legends Club details. It makes the process feel a lot closer to home. A special thanks to our groom for his service to our country. We are lucky that these two great people call our city, Nashville, home.
Sometimes when you meet a person, you can tell they radiate an energy that draws people towards them. That is Kat, and in no doubt, why Alex fell for her when they were just friends. Kat and I clicked immediately because she is from Nashville and moved to SoCal; we think we swapped places, both loving things about our new homes and missing things about our past. She was my gateway back to a California breeze and I just adored the vibrant spirit of hers. Kat and Alex had a beautiful Ojai elopement and then opted for a low-key, Nashville roots reception after the fact. The Loveless Cafe Barn was the perfect location for a little good, old-fashioned Southern get together. I hope we see each other one day in an airport as we pass ways!
Right from the first phone call I knew these two were going to be an amazing time, and I was right, all the way down to the cocktails! Working in the liquor industry has some perks, and this crowd knew how to party!
But it is the internal spirit of these two that was totally beautiful. In Nashville, there are pretty high odds of rain at any given time of year. So when the forecast was showing 50% chance all wedding week, the two decided to take their chances and go ahead with Plan A all the way. For them, there was no Plan B (ahem, we still had one up our sleeves), and that is the way they will continue to live their lives. Walking right into the moment, smiles on their faces, rain or shine.
PS. It was a perfectly gorgeous day without even a rain drop! Enjoy these sweet pics by Abigail Bobo Photography!
Sometimes a whirlwind romance will just take you over! And Jessica and John are that exception. They met and just knew, married at the gorgeous Belle Meade Plantation a year later, with family and friends by their sides. I had such a fun time choosing all the details with Jessica and her mother, where we could focus on the pretty little details and watch an exquisite team of vendors pull it all together! It was a perfect day.
